Candidates should be able to:
· Configure complex network and troubleshooting problems involving physical and virtual networks.
· Develop algorithms for models using networking technologies.
· Design modules representing traditional circuit switched networks.
· Conduct and analyze data captures to obtain network performance information.
· Analyze computer software and hardware requirements to provide integration and implementation support through the design and development of new systems at a highly technical level.
· Configure and use INOSC managed routers, firewalls, and Proxy server devices.
· Use routing and switching technologies and have experience in load balancing technologies, Windows, Linux, virtualization, and Splunk and understand how to deploy and maintain these technologies.
· Design and manage network security infrastructure involving vendor firewall and network security solutions.
Qualifications:
· Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, Layers 3 and 2 interfaces, routing protocols (i.e., OSPF, BGP) and VPNs, firewall filters, Access Control Lists (ACL) and SALT.
· Extensive knowledge of networking, routers, and firewall technologies (specifically Palo Alto).
· Knowledge of Gigamon packet filter and flow and have knowledge of network traffic test tools (i.e., IXIA).
· Proficient with Palo Alto Networks (PCCET, PCNSA, PCNSE), Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), or Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE).
· 8 or more years of network engineering experience in the defense industry
· Certified at DoD 8570 IAT Level II: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED or GCIH
· Clearance TS/SCI or Secret
